The Training

  • Wheeling the Machine from One Coned Area to Another and Using the Stand
  • Doing a Slalom and Figure of Eight in Full Control of the Machine
  • A Slow Ride
  • U-Turn
  • Cornering, Hazard Avoidance, and Controlled Stop
  • The Emergency Stop

At all times you must treat the test as if you were on a public highway, carrying out all necessary shoulder checks. The minimum speed requirement for this module is 50km per hour for the hazard avoidance and emergency stop exercises.

For an experienced motorcyclist, this test should not be too hard. Our full-size area is more than adequate and it replicates the exact spacing that you have to work with. Our instructors are patient and knowledgeable, and they use their skills to guide you throughout the test. They demonstrate each stage of the test, showing you exactly what you need to do. This test is carried out at multi-purpose test centres in Bredbury, Atherton, and Blackburn.
